My client Secondary School  is looking to appoint a strong and highly energised History Teacher to teach at Key Stages 3,4 and 5. The ideal History Teacher will deliver thought provoking and engaging lessons and will have a real passion for their subject.

The Humanities team are a lively bunch and are always inventing different ways to bring their subjects alive. The History and MFL departments organised a trip to Bayeux last year which combined visits to the poppy fields and the tapestry whilst taking in the local culture. The Head of Humanities is very supportive and will help you settle in to your new role. There is an outstanding CPD/Induction programme that will integrate you into every aspect of your new school's life.

The Secondary School is a mixed sex inclusive co-educational college for students of all abilities from 11-18. The Academy has made remarkable strides forward as a pioneering educational establishment. They are at the cutting edge of technology, educational innovation and community involvement – and are developing all the time to meet the changing needs of the diverse groups of people they serve.

The Secondary School on the whole, benefits from well behaved pupils who want to progress. They have clear policies in order to promote positive behaviour within the school and insist on the highest of standards. The school promotes positive aspects of learning and because of this attendance and pupil retention levels are high. The sixth form enjoys a record of 75% of year 13 students securing University places in 2012.

This Secondary School has low levels of EAL and SEN with a high free school meal percentage. Excellent and effective teaching practises have ensured that their pupils progress well and on the whole, this is a good school where parents are both supportive and happy that their children attend this school.

So, if you want to work as a History Teacher at a progressive Academy in a lively Humanities Department, then please send your CV to John at Edustaff today.
